As a nurse, my experiences have been a wide range from medical-surgical floor nursing, surgery/GI Lab, dialysis, cardiology, and nursing informatics. Currently, my new specialty is Holistic Nurse Coaching!  My role as a Nurse Coach will incorporate all my experiences and guide me to guide other individuals to sustain and transform into the healthiest version of themselves they are striving to be.  

After learning so much during my years of clinical nursing, it didn’t take me long to realize I had been given an opportunity that allowed me to develop heart felt bonds with my patients. My patients made it clear they needed to be recognized as individuals rather than just someone who was sick at the time.  It was pretty easy for me to put myself in their shoes, but it made me fear I was not ever doing enough for them.  Now is my chance to continue helping others as a certified nurse coach.    

During the past few years, my focus has been on helping myself and others to be healthier by changing our behavior towards food, exercise, mindfulness, and the environment around us.  The conventional route of medicine is still very necessary, but we must continue to do research on the many health benefits of a plant-based diet.  The evidence continues to mount in support of the amazing healing properties and preventative advantages of a plant-based diet.
